1. The Great Himalayas: They prevent the entry of biteerly cold winds that are coming from Central asia and siberia and prevents tge Indian subcontinent from getting freeze and they also obstruct the moisture bearing winds which provides heavy rainfall in North India.
Distance from the sea: The place which are far away from the sea experiences extreme type of climate whereas places which are near ro the sea coast experiences moderate ttpe of climate.
Latitude: Places at the equator experiences hot climate whereas places at the poles experiences cold climate.
Altitude: With every 166 meters of height 1 degree temperature falls. It means The places having high altitude experiences cold climate and places located in low level experience comparatively hot climate.

Factors that affect climate of india are: 1) latitude: due to curvature of earth , the amount of sunlightreceived varies according to latitudes. 2) altitudes: as one go higher and higher , the atmosphere become less dense and temperature decreases. 3) continentality : the sea exerts a moderating influence on climate .
