The factors which contribute to growth and development are as follows -

- Now, the environmental factors are capable to affect both the physical and mental development of a child.
- For example wrt physical growth - economic background which is an environmental factor, decides the quality and quantity of nutrients, obtained by a child through the food materials, which later impacts the physical growth.
