The factors which contribute to growth and development are as follows -
- First of all, the growth and development are extremely important in the life of a child.
- The growth and development (both mental and physical) are basically dependent on various hereditary factors, as well as external environmental factors.
- The hereditary factors may include the gene carried traits,mainly about the physical growth. Also the other biological matters like hormone secretion, incidents of pregnancy, physical environment quality, race and sex aree also included in the physical growth.
- Now, the environmental factors are also capable to affect both the physical and mental development of a child.
- For example wrt mental growth - the type of people in the surroundings is an external environmental factor but deeply impacts the formation of emotional traits, self esteem in a child. People with positive approach will create positive mental impacts and vice versa for negative people.
- For example wrt physical growth - economic background which is an environmental factor, decides the quality and quantity of nutrients, obtained by a child through the food materials, which later impacts the physical growth.
- Apart from the above mentioned aspects, motor skills, speech and language development skills are established over the passing age of a child.
- Although, there are many more things that can be discussed as the factors behind the growth and development.
School can enhance the physical and intellectual development of students in the following ways -
- School authorities can arrange different types of activities which require good amount of physical efforts, will surely develop the physical aspects of the children.
