☆ Fluid connective tissue is devoid of fibroblasts and hence is fibreless.
☆ Fluid connective tissue is composed of :
- Blood
- Lymph
》Blood :-
Blood is composed of :
- The liquid part called plasma. It constitutes 55 - 60 % of blood.
♢ The plasma is a light-yellow coloured, alkaline liquid.
♢ The plasma mainly consists of Water, protein and inorganic substances.
- The cellular part red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets. Constituting 40 -45 % of blood.
》Lymph :-
- Lymph is the fluid surrounding the body cells.
- It is the blood plasma that has oozed out of the blood vessels.
- It contains white blood cells and not the red blood cells.
☆ Both blood and lymph are mainly concerned with transportation and immunity ( protection against diseases ).
