bonding orbitals in Ammonia.

The wireframe model is the best choice for showing all the orbitals. Each N–H σ-bonding orbital, containing 2 electrons, is formed from a N sp3 hybrid orbital and a H 1s orbital. The remaining lone pair of electrons occupies the fourth tetrahedral position producing a pyramidal structure.

In ammonia nitrogen is sp3-hybridized ground..... hybrid orbital represent the lone pair over nitrogen atom and the 3 half filled hybrid orbital head-on. overlap with the S orbital of the three hydrogen atoms to produce 3 Sigma bonds hybridization in nitrogen is sp3.

hope this answer helps u!
