Answer:

Central Idea of General, your Tank is a Powerful Vehicle:

Human beings, on the other hand, have the ability to think for themselves, and the poet is sure that none of them will voluntarily elect to fight and kill other humans.

General, your tank is a powerful vehicle. It smashes down forests and crushes a hundred men. But it has one defect: It needs a driver.

It is in second person narration and it looks as if the speaker is talking to the general in the present. The poet states to the General that his tank is a powerful vehicle which can smash down forests and can crush hundreds of men. Though it is a powerful tank, it needs a human to drive.

Bertolt Brecht

“General, your tank is a Powerful Vehicle” is the English translation of a poem by Bertolt Brecht that was originally written in German. Its German title is “General, dein Tank ist ein starker Wagen”. It is thought to be written in the late 1930s.
