The study believed that the usage of pesticides has some grave effects to the environment and human health. The study was conducted on farmers in living in a confidential province in India. A sample of 100 farmers were taken during the study only 18% of the farmers use protective gear while spraying pesticides. The rest of the 80% had shown illnesses and different types of health problems such as eye irritation, vomiting, and dizziness.
The case I choose is “Study on the possible effects on Human Health and the Environment in Asia and the Pacific of the trade of products containing Lead, Cadmium and Mercury”. There are numerous products that contain lead, cadmium and mercury in them. These products include batteries, petroleum used in cars, plastics, ceramics and enamels; stabilizers for plastics; plating on iron and steel, Other than that the major natural sources of emissions to atmosphere are volcanoes, airborne soil particles, sea spray, biogenic material and forest fires.
These materials can use various diseases in human beings depending upon the amount of dose being consumed. These chemicals can cause neurological, cardiovascular, renal, gastro-intestinal, hematological and reproductive diseases. The best solution is to reduce the usage of these chemicals and use the efficient way to dispose of the waste materials, so they may not get in contact with the human body.
