If we discuss it in the context of Indian society we find that the rich culture we can find many punch holes of westernisation and mixing of other traits and cultures into our beautifully woven blanket.The Indian society was known for the joint family culture but the imbibtion of culture from western world gave rise to nuclear families.The marriage was a pious institution here but increasing number of divorce cases and the extra-marital affairs reported every now and then.
