Good cartography is important because it helps us visualise spatial distributions and relationships and makes it possible for us to perceive patterns and processes that are often difficult to express verbally.

In this sense, cartography is most relevant. Without maps, we would be "spatially blind." Knowledge about spatial relations and location of objects are most important to learn about space, to act in space, to be aware of what is where and what is around us, or simply to be able to make good decisions.

Cartography is essential as it shows the whole map in a single paper...in geography we have to study about different countries and at that time if we do not have map we can to study it because we can not go to every individual country or places to study about them.....so cartography is essential for study of geography
