The preamble of the indian constitution helps us to get the main aim or the ideals of democracy in our country.
Our country is a democratic country which is based on the ideals of sovereignty, equality, fraternity, liberalism and secularity.
Equality of status and of opportunity and to promote among them all.
Liberty of thought , expression, belief , faith and worship.
Fraternity assuring the dignity of individual and the unity and integrity of the nation.
And justice in all spheres including social, economic and political.
