Answer:
Citizenship right- Civil, political and social
Explanation:
The modern states have citizenship rights which include civil, political and social rights.
Civil rights involve the freedom of individuals to live where they choose, freedom of speech and religion, the right to own property, and the right to equal justice before the law. As a member of a modern state, I enjoy these right in my life. Thus, I am free to choose my place of residence, the religion I follow and also enjoy equal justice in case of legal matters.
Political rights include the right to participate in elections and to stand for public office. In most countries governments were reluctant to admit the principle of universal franchise. In the early years not only women, but a large section of the male population was excluded as holding a certain amount of property was an eligibility criteria. Women had to wait longer. As a result of the political rights, in the future as I reach the eligible criteria I will be able to cast a vote and even stand as a candidate if I wish to do so.
The third type of citizenship rights are social rights. These concern the prerogative of every individual to enjoy a certain minimum standard of economic welfare and security. They include such rights as health benefits, unemployment allowance, setting of minimum level of wages. The broadening of social rights led to welfare states which are set up in the western societies, While erstwhile socialist countries have far-reaching provision in this sector, in most developing countries these are virtually non-existent. As India falls under the developing countries there are not many provisions for the citizens. Hence, I do not have much of social rights. However, in the future if I take up a government job, on retirement I am eligible for regular pension.
