Birsa Munda was born in Ulihatu, Ranchi. He wanted to live a free life without oppression of dikus or outsiders. He wanted to bring his glorious past again and to do so he urged his clan members to give up drinking liquor and other evil practises. He also wanted to establish the Birsa Raj. The Mundas fought against British for their freedom. The main war was fought in South of Ranchi. But he couldn't defeat British.
