During this time many movements took place but all of them had different characters like some of the movements were based on social care and social corruptions.

Some movement were based on social reforms.

However, freedom fighting movements took place at that time and in some cases some movements were organized against the Indian moneylenders too.

However these movements bridged the gap between intellectuals and the common people.
