Answer:

The 3 main earthquake belts on the earth are :

1. Pacific Ring of Fire :

                * It has 452 volcanoes.

                * The Ring of Fire is a major area in the basin of the Pacific         Ocean where many earthquakes and volcanic eruptions occur.

                * In a large 40,000 km horseshoe shape, it is associated with a nearly continuous series of oceanic trenches, volcanic arcs, and volcanic belts and plate movements.

2. Mid - ocean ridges :

                 * A long, seismically active submarine ridge system situated in the middle of an ocean basin and marking the site of the upwelling of magma associated with sea-floor spreading.

                 * An example is the Mid-Atlantic Ridge.

3. Eurasian-Melanesian Belt :

                 * The Eurasian-Melanesian belt runs from the Pacific islands through Asia and southern Europe and into northwestern Africa and includes: 1. The Alps of Europe.

              2. The Himalaya's of Asia

              3. Mt Baldy 10,000.
