The working classes in the organised sector in India generally come from the middle and lower classes of society. They are either skilled or unskilled. The skilled ones either come to the job with acquired specialised knowledge or acquire specialised knowledge on the job. The unskilled workers need no special knowledge or experience to do their work. Quite naturally, the skilled workers are better paid than the unskilled ones.
It is generally observed that a high percentage of people who make up the working class in India in the organised sector come from the rural areas as there is insufficient income from agriculture right through the year. The other reason is depletion of landholdings, as a consequence of fragmentation of agricultural land over generations, which reduces the quantum of produce and thereby the income of the rural folk.

The working class in India comprises of people who are either middle class or lower class, they need to work in order to have good income and to support their families. The working class is either skilled or unskilled, skilled class earns more as compared to the unskilled class.
The standard of living of these middle and lower class people is not up to the mark as compared to the upper class.
When there is an inflation in the economy these people are affected the most because their income is limited itself and after the taxation, they do not have much income to spend. When the prices rise this group is affected the most.
