There are major components of change in population:-
1) high birth rate :- due to the developed and modern hospitality and medical science, the birth rate is increasing day by day this cause increase in population.

2) low mortality rate:- due to modern medical systems, mortality rate is decreasing day by day.

3) low literacy rate:- due to illustracy , people are not aware and they have no idea about disadvantages of population growth.

4 ) lack of knowledge about family planning:- it's a another reason of illiteracy.

5) diverse food resources:- due to the availability of vast food resources also helpful in changing of population.

There are three major components of population change :

1. Birth rate - It is the number of live births per 1000 people. High birth rate increases the population and lower birth rate decreases the population.

2. Death rate - It is the number of deaths per 1000 people. High death rate decreases the population and lower death rate increases the population.

3. Migration - The process of moving people from one place to another and settling there is termed as migration. It's effect on population change -
(i) Immigration - leads to increase in the population.
(ii) Emigration - leads to decrease in the population.

These are the major factors, there may be some other factors too.
