In temperate regions natural vegetation includes large cone shaped trees which have straight trunk and small branches.

Trees like pine, deodar, fur and spruce are the main trees of this vegetation. Growth of these trees stops in summer season.

Leaves of such trees are thick and needle shaped and these properties of leaves protect them from extreme colder climate because such thick leaves reduces the rate of evaporation through leaf surface.
