Bharatnatyam is a divine dance form that has won fame throught the world said Himanshu Shukla.  

Chief Executive Officer of AP Tourism Authority (APTA) on Wednesday.

Speaking at a function after heavy performance of Bharatnatyam by Bengaluru-based artist and choreographer Darshan Upadhye Mr. Shukla praises on the grace with Mr. Upadhye had performed.  

He felicitated artists with shawl and memento.

Mr. Upadhye performs infront of selected audience at Cultural Centre of Vijayawada and Amaravati.  

Recipient of ‘Nritya Kaumudi’ award Mr. Upadhye’s show was part of Natyasravanthi a monthly dance series jointly arranged by CCV&A and Srinivasa Farms.

Disciple of Padma Subrahmanyam Mr. Upadhye starts his performance with traditional pushpanjali in Naata raga set composed by Rajkumar Bharathi.  

He invoked Lord Vighneswara seeking his blessings by widely explaining his divine form.  

Bharatnatyam also known as Sadir is major genre of Indian classical dance that initates in Tamil Nadu.

Bharatnatyam has been a solo dance that's performed exclusively by women and it shows South Indian religious and spiritual ideas normally of Shaivism, Vaishnavism and Shaktism.

Bharatnatyam's theoretical base traces the ancient Sanskrit text.
