The Non cooperation movement was one of the major movement for freedom struggle of India. It was launched by Gandhi in 1920 . All people of India came out against the oppression of British and joined in the movement. The motive of the movement was non violence. People boycotted British goods, services, office etc . In short it promotes the concept of Swadeshi. The main reasons leading this movement were-
》The discontent over the world war I which had put a negative impact on Indian economy.
》The growing British oppression on Indaia people.
》 The Jallianwalla Bagh massacre.

On 5 February, 1922 a series incident of violence occurred between police and protesters in Chauri Chaura if Gorakhpur district. Because of this incident Gandhi postponed the Non Cooperation movement.
