The term structure is the rock of the area. Especially the compositions (which they are made of), the structure of rock and the nature (misplaced or connected etc.).

For example - Himalaya

Composition - Metamorphic Rocks

Nature - bottom mountain (Indian plate collided with Asian plate, due to the wasting of the Tethys sea and Himalaya formation).

Help - There is a difference between the highest point in the sector and the lowest point.

Structure refers to rocks of an area, while relief is the difference between the highest point and lowest point of the area.

The relief feature of Peninsular India consists mainly of 8 regions:

i.    The North Central Highlands

ii.    The South Central Highlands

iii.    The Eastern Plateau

iv.    The Meghalaya- Mikir Uplands

v.    The North Deccan

vi.    The South Deccan

vii.    The Western Ghats or Sahayadri

viii.    The Eastern Ghats

The structure of these areas mainly consists of quartzites, schists of Pre Cambrian period, igneous rocks, charnockites, granite gneiss, khondalites, metamorphic gneisses, etc.
