Role of family, teacher and media in developing thinking skills in children
Family, teachers, and media play an exceedingly pivotal role in a child’s growth and development. Hence, it is very important to make families, teachers and media aware of their role. It is equally important for these three factors to play their role responsibly and positively.
Wise men say parents are a child’s first educators. Parents must always bear it in their mind that they give their children a healthy environment. They must think, speak, and act responsibly in front of the children as they learn each and everything from them. Their bad, irresponsible, and reckless behavior can influence the children’s growth and development negatively. They must act as perfect role models for them.
Teachers are the second most determining factor in children’s growth and development. A good teacher always influences his/her students positively. He/she makes them a perfect human being. He not only enlightens their minds with the light of education, but also has a significant impact on their character, attitude, and success. . If parents think, act, and behave positively; children also learn positive qualities from their parents. However, if parents exhibit anger, selfishness, greed, and carelessness, children also learn these negative traits. So, parents must act as perfect role-models.
Media in the contemporary times has become the most influential factor. After the IT revolution media has made everything obsolete. Media has had quite a deep impact on teenagers. There is infinite information available on media. This information is both good as well as bad. The untrained children are easily attracted to the bad stuff on media. Media must present only inspirational, motivational, and life-enrichment content to children for their sound and great growth and dvleopment.
