Civil societies in developing nations such as India have played a significant role in the upliftment of the socially marginalized groups. The civil society is viewed by the marginalized groups with expectations because the initiatives adopted by the government has failed in its purpose to percolate to the bottom levels of the community. In the modern developing situation, the notion of empowerment of the marginalized groups has become a unique focus and the initiatives taken by the civil society have been given specific importance. As the role of the civil organisation has obtained a position for cultural growth, it has developed a connection with the marginalized society.
