Discuss the role of election commission in ensuring free and fair election

EC formulates rules and regulations which are to be followed by the political parties. It keeps a vigil on all the activities of the political party. It has the complete control from the starting of the elections to result declaration. It is an independent body which have the power to disqualify any party before election if it finds the party guilty in any form.
