A family plays a vital role in an individual’s social Development.  


There are various areas of life that are learned by an individual through family such as  


• Values – Family teaches values to individuals, as they first learn the concept of what is right and what is wrong at their homes.  


• Emotional Security and consistency – a Family teaches individuals the values of a routine. A consistent routine allows for emotional security.  


• Coping Skills – Family environment teaches individual’s to cope with their emotions and situations.  


• Relationships - Children learn to trust in relationships and trust others.
