Answer: Light is an environmental factor that affects rate of photosynthesis

             if the intensity of light is low then on increasing light intensity rate of photosynthesis will increase but only upto  a certain level . If intensity increases beyond a certain limit photo oxidation of chlorophyll pigments will occur due to which rate of photosynthesis will decrease .

And we know that photosynthesis is a process by which plants make their food so, if the rate of photosynthesis increases plants will make more food and their growth rate will also increase and vice - versa .
