Explanation:

Being himself a Persian scholor, Maharaja Ranbir Singh tried to eradicate illiteracy and encourage education in the state. He encouraged religious education in particular through the study of classical languages like Persian, Arabic and Sanskrit.  Maharaja Ranbir Singh established many Institutions for the purpose such as Raghunath Temple Pathshala, a library and a Mahavidyalaya at the same. Maharaja's unprecedented patronization of languages and scripts resulted in the establishment of press in 1882. He also believed in the education for all as well.
