Discuss the role of media in Indian democracy with special reference to Narmada Bachao Andolan for class 7th student.

Media plays a very significant role in Indian democracy. Print as well as television now has changed the very fabric of democracy.

Take for instance the attention Narmada Bacho Andolan has received, and the credit should go to the media houses.

Media also played a part in garnering support for the cause. There were many VVIPS who joined the Andolan after they heard about it in television or read in newspapers.
