a. Democracy is all about resolving conflicting interests in which government may not be able top appease all the social groups while may pacify some. People who have been marginalised or discriminated may often present their demands peacefully but at times may also resort to violence to put pressure on the government.

b. The attitude of the government and its willingness to accept their demands depends on a whole lot of socio, political and economic factors, in which it may try to strike out the balance between two warring groups.

c. Government's decision to create a state of Telengana can be seen in this context, which was based on a whole lot of political considerations and where the state of Andhra which resented such a decision is now subjected to deep political crisis.

d. Effectively dealing with social divisions to ensure their accommodation is the challenge of Democracy. For example Government's Reservation policy sought to appease SC's and ST's which is resented by the upper castes. The society has always been divided between pro and anti reservation policy and is an on going debate.

e. Effectively dealing with such a situation and due accommodation of diverse interests is a challenge.

g. If government tries to supress all the demands it would rather lead to strife and turmoil. As we have seen in Sri Lanka.

Hope it helps!!!!
