The Rissian revolt of 1917 and the events that preceded and followed it saw the creation of the world's first socialist state, that make explicit commitments to promote tha equality of men's and women's. Many early rissian feminist and ordinary Russian working womens actively participated in the revolution,, anf many more were affected by the events of that period and the new policies of the SOVIET UNION.
