Salt march was for breaking of the unjust salt law of the British..the action of Gandhiji picking up the salt was a significance that the Indians won't follow the salt law anymore. They now sold salt freely unlike before because it was a government monopoly

hope you find this helpful..Pls mark brainiest if u think that my answer was the most helpful one to u :)

JMK1: It effected India in several ways like: particilation of women actively and a good number of political activities in India
JMK1: British had taken the salt monopoly under them since salt is an essential ingredient for every household..and so ppl will have to buy it more and more and high taxes would earn british more money in their own pocket

HEYA!!!!!

---------------SALT SATYAGRAHA -------------

Salt Satyagraha or or Dandi March started by mahatma gandhi in 1930.This movement had got a global response as Mahatma Gandhi broken the salt block in Dandi.

REASONS FOR THE MOVEMENT :

☆ British imposed high taxes and monopoly on salt as they were they manufacturers of salt.

☆ As, we know that the salt is the essential food items.

☆ So, for this Gandhiji started a March called Dandi March from Sabarmati ashram to Dandi with 78 followers.

☆ There he prepared his own salt and broken the salt block which was British manufactured.

☆ Hence, we can tell that salt was an effective symbol of resistance against colonisation.
