The significant differences between himalayan and peninsular rivers are as follows
1. Himalayan rivers are perennial as their flow is dependent on both the rainfall and as well as on the melted snow whereas peninsular rivers are mostly seasonal as their flow is dependent only on rain.
2. Himalayan rivers have long courses from their origin to the sea and perform intensive erosional activity and form other depositional features in their middle and lower courses whereas peninsular rivers have shorter courses and do not perform much erosional activities.
