Atomic orbitals are space regions around the atomic nucleus, where an “electron” is probably found. Atomic orbits enable atoms to make “covalent bonds”. The orbits most frequently filled are “s, p, d, and f”. The orbitals are spherical and have “no angular nodes”.
Similarities:
1s and 2s orbitals have spherical shape and the maximum capability of electrons present in the s- orbital are two.
Differences:
2s orbital contains nodal plane but “1s orbital” does not contain nodal plane.
1s orbital have less energy than the 2s.
