It is vital to formulate measures that would eliminate practices, such as, female foeticide, female infanticide, child marriage, malnutrition, exploitation, child trafficking, neglect and discrimination, child mortality and child abuse. In addition, opportunities need to be promoted to facilitate education and employment opportunities among them.
