The Mughal successor was replaced by British domination. After the conquest of Bengal, British dominated on India. The Strongest organized resistance to British expansion came from the states of Mysore, the Marathas, and the Sikhs. But there was also a strong capitalist, who helped undermine the regional states which they had bankrolled in the past.
