Becoming a true member of our community. Humans are social animals and do better w/a social support system. One must focus more today on wrapping a natural helping network around urself than in the past (lots more to say here). Freedom and sharing, giving and getting, private and public, helping and receiving help. U used a good word: balance. Participating in something larger than one's self expands life, challenges, perspectives, and understanding. It stretches, enlivens, and is difficult.
