The variants are as listed below :
1.) Temperature
Here we talk about melting point and Boiling point of a substance.
A substance melts at a given temperature and boils at a given temperature.
A substance melts to form liquid and boils to transit to gas.
At boiling temperature, the liquid becomes gas whereas at melting temperature the solid becomes liquid.
2.) Pressure
Pressure affects both melting and Boiling points.
At high pressure, the melting and boiling points are lowered thus a substance such as water boils at lower temperatures to form vapour whereas ice which is solid water melts at a lower temperature to form liquid.

Pressure and temperature are responsible for the interconversion happen in different states of particles. The matter is anything that occupies space.
The phenomenon of shifting matter from one state to another and return to its original state is known as interconversion of matter. Matter can be changed by changing temperature or pressure from its one form into another form.
The interconversion converts one to another form which is held possible only by changing of temperature and pressure of the substances.
