Human Resource Management is a key element in the success of any organization. In the current scenario where neither employees nor employers are satisfied, HRM play a very important to keep a tandem within and at time out side the organisation as well. A few approaches to HRM are:
· Training and Educating the right people at the right time
· Motivate employees to work.
· Empower them by providing various responsibilities.
· Reward them for their good deeds.
The following are the various approaches to human resource management in the changing scenario:
1. Autocratic Approach: this is an approach used in ancient times as it represented the master-slave relationship between the employer and worker. In this form of production, the masters used abusive methods to increase their production.
2. Commodity Approach: this was also a classical strategy towards workers which employed workers like a commodity. In this approach, workers were burdened with extra work, law salaries, unsanitary working circumstances and long working hours.
3. The Protective Approach: in this approach labor were treated like children as the employers began thinking about the welfare measures of labors.
4. Scientific Management Approach: Fredrick Taylor understood that it is likely to get workers to work harder if a considerable expansion is confirmed in their salary.
5. Social Approach: during this time the movements of workers became more organized. During this time, workers were provided with some rights.
