The british used many techniques to sell their products in goods. The manchester industrialists attached label to their cloths bundle export to India. Also, the images of gods and famous personalities like nawab and emperor were put on advertisements. By the late 19th century, manufacturers also began to print calendars which were used by literate as well as illiterate people. Divine and royal imagery was used in these too in order to popularise in industrial goods
