Though our country has introduced several new laws which discourage gender discrimination, there are still many places where it is followed.
Women are thought to be of a lower rank and are not given many chances to showcase their talents, whereas men are thought to be of a higher rank than women. Men are told to be the head of the family, because he earns money, but if the women works and earns money, she can't be the head, which is not fair. Women are still not allowed to vote in some rural areas, and only men are allowed, which again is not fair. With today's generation, women are still given quite respect but there is still little discrimination in many ares. Women are also not equally paid. Gender discrimination is still a very big issue in many countries including India. People still think that women are only supposed to cook and do the chores, and men are supposed to earn money for the family.
