Most people in Jaisalmer and barmer used to store rain water in under ground cemented tanks.some rely on old Wells, which digged manually. When the rain is not enough people have to bring/bought water from nearby cities/Wells at a heavy cost through commercial tankers. In the drought hit years sometimes government used to send water tankers in far-flung areas to meet requirement.
