Three negative effects of disasters on people's lives are given below:

1. Sudden disasters like earthquakes, flood, landslides, etc, causes tragic consequences such as loss of life of human beings and other organisms, loss of property, damage to infrastructure, loss of livestock, etc.

2. Such disasters also affects the heath of human beings leading to various sicknesses and diseases. For example, natural disaster like flood may cause water borne diseases such as cholera, Hepatitis-A, and diarrhea diseases.

3. People gets affected mentally and remains deprived of basic needs like shelter, food and nutrition.

Some other effects:

• Due to disaster such as flood, water may get logged and water may flow out from the drains.

•This may result in breeding sites of vectors like mosquitoes and flies and thus may cause vector borne diseases like Yellow fever, Nile fever, Dengue fever, etc.
