Answer:
discuss three thing would you like most about you school and three things that you would like to change
Things I like about my school:
- The community is pretty nice
- Scholars program that lets students take accelerated courses (I know it is more stressful but this helps students get a head start in school)
- My school both offers test prep classes after school and tutoring during school (during lunch) so students who have trouble with a subject get help.
Things I want to change:
I wish it was less crowded (seriously, I always get to band class late because there’s always students blocking the stairways and hallways during passing.
- The grading system. Specifically, my school grades you according to your participation in class, but I don’t like that. It is just unfair to the introverted people. Everyone has different learning styles. People may learn better just by listening to their classmates and teachers. I have a friend in class who is shy, but I know she still pays attention and get good grades. She does not deserve to get an 80% in participation just because of this. Same goes for me. I have to be forced to raise my hand.
- Notebook rules. My school grades your notes/notebook. I know that’s an easy grade if you write your notes and stuff but I’m talking about how strict it is. For example, in one class, I have to write a Success Criteria and I’m not even allowed to label it SC. I believe students should be able to write their notes however they want. If they don’t write notes, then it is their loss. But you know what some people are so smart that they sometimes don’t even need to write notes. That’s just a waste of paper. However currently in my grade, my classes don’t really grade notebook except Spanish so I guess that is good. But in my earlier grades, I did have to write notes and have notebook tests for Math, English, Spanish, and Science class. Heck, last year in Science class my hands usually get sore from writing a bunch of notes. Honestly it depends on the teacher though. I know writing notes is important, but I’m talking about that you should have more freedom when writing notes.
Overall, my school is not bad at all. I love it honestly. I don’t want to leave it. (But I eventually will have to ;___;)
