Mono-party system

  1. Political stability - There is no active competition and the party can't be removed from power. So the government is stable and strong.
  2. Less expensive - Huge amount of money is not spent on conducting elections as in multi-party system of democracy.

Demerit of one-party system:

  1. No political competition - Voters do not have a choice.
  2. Leads to dictatorship - one-party system is not democratic and is viewed as dictatorship.
