Kinds of mapping:

Mapping is usually a group of codes inputs in which similar functions are applied and new category is produced from its results. These results are obtained by applying mixture of codes into input formats.

The collection/group have similar values as that of the item that has been condensed together for the result.  For example the mapping of $f(X)=X+3 ;(1,2,3)$ produces applied end results as (4, 5, 6).
