Our new classmate was a poor boy, but a very brilliant, quiet and a modest boy. However, my friend, didn’t like him and often started teasing about his poor background and compared his possessions like toys, dress, watch etc with that of the poor boy and downgraded him for not having anything costly. I did not like my friend’s attitude towards the poor boy and told him that one’s worthiness should not be weighed by his materialistic worth, money or status but instead should be weighed upon his moral values, character, virtue, merits, and intellectual.
