Deforestation leading cause of Global Warming. OK – we know that forests trap carbon which helps reduce the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. We know that planting trees and restoring forests increases the depth of this carbon trap.May 16, 2007

Did u mean deforestation??

Deforestation leads to cutting down of trees, which results in carbondioxide remaining in atmosphere which is a green house gas, and this leads to global warming. Trees absorbs carbon dioxide, and it reduces the level of carbon dioxide in atmosphere, which actually forms a blanket in the atmosphere trapping all the infrared rays and heat causing global warming.
