may be infectious or non-infectious diseases. Infectious diseases are spread from infected
persons to others through air,water, food , physical contact , sexual contact and insects.
The causative agents of these diseases are called pathogens for infectious agents. These
may be virus, bacteria, fungi , protozoans and worms. Non- infectious diseases may occur
due to malfunctioning of some body organs or inadequate diet.
