yes because there are mosquitos all around during rain fall and might cause us malaria and dengue,etc.in the case of flood there are various micro organisms present in our atmosphere so they can cause us various disease which is quite harmful.

Because there are many harmful gases in atmosphere which gets dissolved in water during rainfall and water becomes polluted . Many people drink this rainwater , thus , they fall ill . Also, the water gets collected in pits and becomes breeding ground for mosquitoes which spread diseases .
