White light is composed of seven colors which we can't see commonly but if we use a prism and at a certain angle when white light is passed from it it disperses in to seven colors Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Orange, Indigo and Violet termed as VIBGOYR.
Daily life example of dispersion is Rainbow which is formed after rain at the times of morning or evening when light passes from rain drops in clouds at a certain angle which disperse light into seven colors.
