The equation which is used to find the referactive index of any material is given below:

                          n = sin((A+D)/2)/sin(A/2)

where, D represents the minimum angle of deviation. It is different for different colors.

Suppose nv is the referactive index of violet color and nG is the refractive index of green color then,

                          Dispersive power = ω = (nv – nG)/n

Where,

                          n = (nv + nG)/2
